I was recently asked to join a group of Alumni from my graduating highschool class. The group is populated by people I've always had something of a distaste for, and at times was very mean to in school.

I joined the group however, and the 15 year old me confirmed I don't have any more balls.

Tiki Barber graduated from my highschool. I have to die more famous than him.

when I was young, Carter and me used to record songs on a four track I got for my birthday. we'd bounce the songs down to a regular cassette tape and sneak out of my house stealing my parents car keys.

we'd take the stolen keys and get into my dad's jeep. the reason being that we had no real source of listening to mixes of our songs. my dad's jeep provided the best sound system in 10 miles.

the songs were much better than anything I could record now.

I listened to the original tape we used in the car tonight. although, the frequencies we have no far outdate the jeep, we're definitely better human beings for thinking so.

I miss my drum machine, my parents' basement, and having no idea about what's good or what sells.

Greenday, The Mall, & Betty Shivers

When I was in 6th grade, I really wanted this Greenday shirt. My mom wouldn't let me get it because of the dogs smoking (and I think boozing) on the front.

Unbeknownst to her, I bought it at the mall one day, hiding it in my bag when she picked me up. For the next three weeks, I would wear a normal shirt to school and change into the Greenday shirt in the bathroom before Home Room. I would then change back before my Mom picked me up.

I had less than a month with that shirt before she found it and threw it away. I told her I hated her. At the time I suppose I really meant it.

College Radio

Some people think that I hate women...

The truth is I'm still in love with 1994. I just can't let go. It's like Juliana Hatfield is still in her 20s, waving at me from some field made of Dinosaur Jr. records. And I don't even like her music, she's just a sweet girl who's very pretty doing something she loves. I like it, it's in a related field to what I really enjoy. I don't even mind that she hangs out with Ethan Hawke.

I trust her.

Facts about being 14

• I made out with Kim Young during Schindler's List.
• I smoked Harley Davidson Cigarettes that I had my friend's older brother buy me a carton of from a flea market.
• I had a Zippo with a WWII pin up girl on it.
• I could play every song from Broken on the guitar.
• I wore a black Last Rights Skinny Puppy long sleeve T-shirt underneath a Psalm 69 Ministry short sleeve T-Shirt. The two shirts combined had so many safety pins in them that they could set off a metal detector from 100 yards away.
• I broke some ribs in a mosh pit at a Ramones concert in Salem, VA.
